Santa Monica, CA – April 28, 2011 – Goldline International, Inc. announced today that the company is sponsoring an antique gold coin giveaway as well as the distribution of exclusive, limited quantity Disney "Pieces of Eight" tribute coins in celebration of the four week run of Disney’s "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" at Hollywood’s historic El Capitan Theatre. The El Capitan engagement will run from May 20 through June 22, 2011. An exclusive collection of props and costumes direct from the movie will be on display.
"We are proud to join with the El Capitan Theatre in honoring the ‘Pirates’ debut with these exciting giveaways," said Scott Carter, Chief Executive Officer of Goldline. "The historic 8 Escudo coins that will be given away match the time period of the film perfectly and have considerable value as physical gold coins, adding to the excitement to this exclusive run."
National Gold Coin Sweepstakes – No Purchase Necessary
Goldline is sponsoring a national no-purchase-necessary sweepstakes with a Grand Prize of an authentic 1792 Peruvian 8 Escudo gold coin with an estimated retail value of approximately $2,800.
The antique Peruvian 8 Escudo prize coin has been independently graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as "XF 45," meaning the coin is in "extremely fine" condition. According to NGC, coins of this grade have well defined design features with only light wear evident throughout. The coin has been encased in a sonically sealed coin holder by NGC to ensure its authenticity and condition.
To enter the sweepstakes, visit www.goldline.com/coin-contest before June 30, 2011 and enter your contact details. There is no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes. Limit one entry per person. The winner will be chosen by random ballot in July. Full official rules are available at the site above.
Additional Giveaways at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater
In addition to the sweepstakes, Goldline is giving away four authentic 18th century Mexican 8 Escudo gold coins to lucky El Capitan patrons attending Disney’s "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" film during its four-week engagement. Three of these historic gold coins have an estimated retail value in excess of $2,000 and one (to be given away the final week) has an estimated retail value of approximately $2,800. Each week, the El Capitan will select one showing of the film randomly and a winner live before that show begins to identify the lucky recipient of a coin.
While supplies last, patrons of the El Capitan will receive a soft drawstring bag containing two "Pieces of Eight" tribute coins during the Disney film’s four week run. These alloy coins, designed exclusively by Disney for the El Capitan showings, have a look reminiscent of coins common to the period depicted in the film.
Exclusively at the El Capitan Theatre see a collection of set props and costumes from the movie! El Capitan tickets can be purchased at www.elcapitantickets.com and more information about the film can be found at www.disney.com/pirates.
